1. Turn off the Raise to Wake feature
Raise to Wake is a useful feature on iOS 10. The screen will automatically light up when you pick up the iPhone without doing any work to open the phone.
However, this is also a feature that reduces the battery life of the iPhone. To turn it off, go to Settings> Display & Brightness, Raise to Wake to Off.
2. Disabling the refresh of non-essential applications
This feature helps applications running in the background to keep you up-to-date. However, you will not need it for non-critical applications. If you use this feature with many applications, it will consume a lot of battery power. To check and turn off the application refresh feature, go to Settings> General> App Refresh Background. Here, you check and turn off the mode with the unnecessary applications.

3. Manage Notifications for Applications
By default, iOS will pop up a notification on the lock screen, which will cause the screen to light up so you can see them. This is a great feature, however, not all applications need to see that message. To turn off unnecessary notifications, go to Settings> Notifications. Here, you select the application notification, and turn off the Show on Lock Screen option with unnecessary applications.
4. Reduce the time automatically lock the screen
Automatic lock is a useful feature, iPhone will automatically turn off and lock the screen when you are not using the machine. If you feel the iPhone's auto lock time is too long, shorten it to save battery life. To do your thing, go to Settings> General> Auto-Lock. Here you adjust the time to automatically lock, here, we recommend that you set to 30 seconds.
5. Turn off unused connections
On the iPhone there are many useful connections. However, you do not always need to use them. With the exception of Wi-Fi and 3G, connections like Bluetooth or AirDrop will be less common. Therefore, turn off these connections to ensure the battery life of your device.
6. Turn on the Low Power Mode
This mode is integrated from iOS 9. With Low Power Mode, iPhone will turn off the application refresh feature, reduce the brightness, Mail application will not automatically download mail, turn off automatic updates applications and cut some effects. This is quite effective feature while iPhone is almost out of battery but you still need to use it. You go to Settings> Battery, under Low Power Mode mode to turn on.
7. Control applications using GPS
GPS is very feature "suction battery". However, it is very useful for directions and more. But there are some unnecessary applications that use GPS. So, turn off GPS in unneeded applications. To do this, go to Settings> Privacy> Location Services. Then scroll up or down to check for unnecessary apps and turn off GPS for them.
8. Do not turn off the app in the App Switcher screen
With Android, you usually do this to save battery power as well as reduce the amount of RAM consumed. However, iOS is actually much smarter, it automatically freezes apps when you're not using it. Shutting down your apps, then booting them up again will consume more battery power. It's not really necessary for iOS. So do not turn off the app in the App Switcher screen.
9. Turn off motion effects
The animation effect on iOS is very smooth and eye catching. However, it will waste unnecessary battery life. To turn them off, go to Settings> Accessibility> Reduce Motion, turn it off.
